Look closely at these coffee/tea/beverage-of-your-choice mugs. I apologize for the poor quality, but you should still notice a couple of things on each of them.
Mmmm, boob mugs.
Elizabeth Le makes pretty girls. Actually, she makes prettier boys, but this is SimGirlz, so you’ll have to head to her site to check those out.
Over here you’ll have to make do with some beautiful high-res pictures of several of her Painter pieces.
New character sketches have been released for Zu Online, the latest in the deluge of “free” MMOs.

To celebrate last month’s launch of the terrific Virtual Vixens book (which you can purchase by clicking it to the right there), Focal Press is announcing a digital art contest.
Contest entries will be judged on originality, technical execution and visual impact in the construction of a 3D digital character. The grand prize winner in each of two categories will be awarded US$1,000 and the winning images will be featured in a Focal Press advertisement in the February 2008 issue of Game Developer magazine.
Full details, and a couple of stunning examples from the book, are available inside.

I discovered Brazil’s Rodrigo Gelmi while browsing the Luxology gallery. His portfolio has a wide variety of work, but naturally I was drawn to his 3D girls.
They’re fascinating because rather than try and fight the limits of computer graphics which tend to result in plastic-looking surfaces, Gelmi embraces them, creating photoreal examples of plastic figures that may or may not exist in reality.
